Coconut oil has natural soothing properties, and is ideal for the most sensitive skin as it does not contain anything to irritate the skin, nor cause allergies, nor aggravate existing allergies such as dermatitis & eczema. In addition it is antibacterial, antifungal, and high in Vitamin E. It is completely biodegradable, eco friendly, and dissolves so easily even in just warm water making it the ideal choice for cleansing or even for your laundry!
This is a zero waste, vegan, cruelty and palm-oil free solution to to both personal cleansing and laundry. Try in your wash as it is biodegradable, grey-water friendly, and great for both front and top loaders in laundry. Just dissolve one tbsp into hot water, and add to your washing. 120 Grams Minimum.
For babies, In a bucket or tub, use about 1 litre of warm to hot water adding enough Soap Flakes to ensure a rich creamy lather. The hotter the water, the better the Soap Flakes dissolve. Add to you babies bath water and gently wash baby with the soothing and cleansing water. Always check temperature before putting baby in bath.
For adults, warm to hot water will dissolve the flakes making them less grainy. You can bathe using the flakes directly on your skin or rub them in.
If using as a laundry solution, it is advisable to wash with commercial detergents every 10th wash as modern washing machines require the detergents in commercial cleaners to remove any soap residue.
Coconut Soap is very effective, and yet low in suds as it does not contain sodium lauryl sulphate, which is the chemical added to commercial detergents to produce suds. It can therefore be used in front loaders, but use sparingly until you are confident on how much to use in your front loader.
Use in front loaders at your own discretion. If in doubt, or you are concerned you will violate machine warranty, then probably best to use an alternative product.
